The North Gwinnett Middle School Band is the feeder for the award-winning North Gwinnett High School Band, and has produced outstanding musicians since the school opened in 2009. The Band program consists of 500 students in grades 6-8.
Band students consistently achieve Superior (I) ratings at GMEA District 13 Solo & Ensemble and Large Group Performance Evaluations (LGPE). Band students also consistently earn chairs in GMEA District Honor Bands and All-State Bands.

Classes rehearse for 40 minutes daily. In 6th grade, students are placed in like-instrument classes. In 7th & 8th grade, students are grouped into full bands.
Extracurricular opportunities include Solo & Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Percussion Ensemble. Directors are available for help sessions Monday-Thursday mornings (8:15-8:55 am).
